Update on the situation.

Mom's still in the hospital. Last night she was put on oxygen for a few hours. Turns out that all of the liquid that the renal dialysis is pumping into her started pushing up against her lungs, which gave problems for breathing. She's starting to swell up from the liquid in her.

The doctors are also talking about switching her from renal dialysis to hemo dialysis. This way the sugars from the renal dialysis solutions wont shoot her blood sugar level up to 500 on a regular basis. Another advantage to the hemo-dialysis is that she'll be forced to go down to the hospital three times a week, so there is no way that she can stay in bed for all that time. Hopefully this will help out with the bed-sores as well?

Another tube was attached to her, primarily to get antibiotics into her more quickly. Maybe she's turning into the bionic woman? One can always hope.

At least her depression has turned into plain flat-out belligerence. Her doctors are still trying to figure out if that's a good or a bad thing.

She's also started to eat more, about half of what the nutritionist wants her to eat.
